Greta Oto is a creative duo formed by Anita Szymańska and Wiktor Stypa, born from the need to blur the lines between classic theatrical work structures. We’re seekers, and we never know what we’ll find on the other side of a project. What we do know is that Greta Oto is brave and isn’t afraid to speak its mind. Greta doesn’t tolerate hypocrisy or injustice, puts people first, and pours its whole heart into everything.

We create theater on many levels—we direct, write texts, perform, conduct artistic research, and lead educational activities for youth and adults. We believe that theater, as one of the few art forms, can constantly evolve and change. That’s why we view all our work as a process, and the outcomes, such as performances, are checkpoints along this journey. We seek what is unique to theater and strive to understand its purpose in the 21st century.
